Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation SealAs a result of an #FBI Boston North Shore Gang Task Force investigation, Harvey Rodriguez, of Lynn, MA, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release for his role in a years-long drug conspiracy & the armed robbery of a drug customer in Woburn, MA, during which Rodriguez & another individual stole approx. $24K in drug trafficking proceeds.

In January 2026, Rodriguez pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances & one count of conspiracy interfere with commerce by robbery (Hobbs Act Robbery). #FBI Boston arrested & charged Rodriguez in August 2025.

Rodriguez participated in a multi-year drug conspiracy that took place in the Lynn area & on the North Shore of MA. As described in the #FBI‘s complaint, Rodriguez conspired with numerous other distributors including those he supplied, & others who have been previously charged with federal drug offenses, including Vincent Caruso, Lawrence Michael Nagle, Jr. & Schuyler Oppenheimer.

The drug conspiracy involved the manufacturing of counterfeit prescription pills & the sale of kilos of cocaine & fentanyl in Lynn & throughout MA. Over the course of our North Shore Gang Task Force’s investigation, Rodriguez distributed cocaine & methamphetamine to a cooperating witness & confidential informant on four occasions.

Rodriguez also participated in an armed robbery of a drug customer. On 1/30/23, a drug transaction was scheduled to take place at an apartment in Woburn, during which an associate of Rodriguez was to deliver a kilogram of cocaine in exchange for approximately $24,000. During the transaction, Rodriguez & Claudio Melo entered the apartment & pointed semiautomatic pistols at the drug customer before taking the $24K in cash, which was proceeds of drug trafficking activities the drug customer was engaged in. Rodriguez & Melo then forced the drug customer to open a safe in his bedroom, which was empty. Shortly thereafter, both robbers departed with the $24K in cash.
